You are invited to the Co-POWeR workshop ‘Memories of COVID-19: Community Resilience & Wellbeing among Young People through Sports and the Creative Arts’.

The workshop will be an afternoon of poetry and rap facilitated by Dr Adeola Dewis (Diaspora artist and founder of Laku Negi) and Dr Emmanuel Adukwu (UWE scientist and poet), Andrew Ogun (activist, poet, rap artist) and supported by Zhivago Greaux (trainer, St Joseph’s Boxing Club).

The focus of the workshop is to share experiences of the pandemic and how we can use creative means to promote resilience and wellbeing among young people, including through positive narratives. We will be reflecting on experiences of the pandemic and how to ‘build back better’.

Join us for a fun and inspiring afternoon at the University of South Wales, Newport City Campus on Sunday 29 May at 1.30pm.
