Professor Rai elected as Fellow of the British Academy

Congratulations to Co-POWeR's Shirin M. Rai who has been elected as a Fellow of the British Academy for outstanding achievement in the humanities and social sciences.

Founded in 1902, the British Academy is the UK’s national academy for the humanities and social sciences. It is a Fellowship of over 1400 of the leading minds in these subjects from the UK and overseas, a funding body for national and international research, and a forum for debate and engagement.

Professor Rai told us:

I am delighted to have been elected as a Fellow of the British Academy and look forward to working with colleagues in the Academy through my research and impact work to address issues of international development, social (in)equalities and innovative methodologies.
