WP1 report published on UK Parliament's website

In early 2022, WP1 submitted a two page report to the UK Parliament call for evidence on the operational effectiveness of the Coronavirus Act.

It highlighted the difficulty of using the police to handle health crises such as the pandemic and the consequences of this for the effectiveness of the Coronavirus Act. This is because discriminatory use of the emergency powers by the police risks not only increasing distrust towards themselves but towards state authorities in general.
