Shareefa Fadhel is the research Project Manager for Co-POWeR. She is a doctoral researcher at the School of Sociology and Social Policy at the University of Leeds. She is interested in the political economy of development and gender politics.

Shareefa is an accomplished entrepreneur, visionary, and creative leader with a history of pioneering new programs and opportunities among women in the Middle East and Africa. She is the Co-Founder and CEO of the non-profit, Roudha Center for Entrepreneurship, and innovation (RC), founding partner for Trade+Impact, and several other small enterprises promoting women leadership and equality. She works directly with organizations advocating about women and women’s economic development as well as cutting-edge companies providing consulting, marketing, and business development for their women product groups.

She is a motivational leader who is adept at managing, motivating, and developing successful and productive teams to ensure full delivery of company/ organisation objectives.  She holds an MBA in Management & Marketing Strategies and an executive Diploma in Corporate Innovation & Entrepreneurship from Carnegie Mellon University Qatar.

Shareefa is part of the University of Leeds team but manages the entire consortium of research areas alongside the Co-POWeR PI, Prof. Iyiola Solanke and Project Communications Administrator, Rebecca (Becky) Wilding.
