Dr Anita Sharma represents WP2 at two community events for women

In December 2021, Work Package 2 publicised Co-POWeR and the emergent findings of WP2 (Children, Young People and Families) with the Tower Hamlets Women’s Network which is facilitated by Account3. The Network works to support local, ethnically diverse women to come together to share ideas, explore current issues, support each other to achieve, and find solutions that work for the whole community.

On behalf of the WP2 team and Co-POWeR, Dr Anita Sharma spoke at two of their events which bring together women from across the community. This includes charities, the community and voluntary sectors, and cooperatives and social enterprises.

The scope and remit of Co-POWeR engendered interest in the women attendees, and was seen as novel and inspiring in terms of being a Research Consortium led by Black and Asian Female Professors. Several groups showed interest in collaborating and engaging with the project.
